Asheville Area EV Committee
A collection of local governments, utility providers, businesses, educational institutions, non-profits and EV enthusiasts committed to preparing the five-county Asheville Metro Area for the release of highway-ready, plug-in electric vehicles. The EV Committee is a sub-group of the Land-of-Sky Clean Vehicles Coalition.
EV Committee Activities:
- Facilitate EV Committee meetings to identify and remove barriers to EV adoption in Asheville Metro Area
- Streamline permitting and inspection process for charging station installation
- Establish a sound infrastructure of public charging stations
- Educate key stakeholders on EV technology and viability
- Draft an EV Roadmap to accelerate EV adoption in the Asheville Metro Area
